Police Code 11-41 Meaning

Chowchilla introduces its Radio Codes section as wording adapted to local use. That matters when interpreting a recording: its request wording gives more context than CHP's one-word entry, but neither entry alone tells you a patient's condition or the outcome.

11-41 versus 11-79

The distinction is a medical-aid label versus a crash label with an ambulance response:

  • CHP: 11-41 identifies an ambulance; 11-79 describes a traffic crash with an ambulance rolling.
  • Chowchilla: 11-41 requests ambulance or medical aid; 11-79 describes a traffic accident with an ambulance dispatched.

Do not read 11-41 alone as proof that a crash occurred or that an ambulance has already arrived. The two lists provide separate codes for the crash-and-ambulance context.

Is 11-41 the same as 11-44?

No. 11-44 is a fatality in the CHP card and a coroner's case in Chowchilla's manual. An ambulance request is not a death classification.
